JBL GTO609C
Now in JBL's high-end GT series for a cheeky look with an excellent two-component speaker option. In deference to a coaxial array, the woofer / tweeter combination is housed as separate individual entities. This allows for greater flexibility in terms of speaker placement. For a surround sound setup in your home, tweeters will generally be at ear level and geared to optimize sound, woofers for your car do the same effectively.
The 6.5-inch woofer is expertly designed and features a carbon injection cone formed using its patented Plus One technology that provides a larger overall cone area. This allows them to move more air by providing more bass than other cones of the same size.
Soft dome tweeters handle smoothly and relentlessly with their oversized voice coils that help dissipate heat quickly.
They have a two-level tweeter volume control and benefit from the patented JBL I mounting system for unprecedented placement control.
Advantage:
+ Flexible placement of separate tweeter.
+ Better bass capabilities.
+ One of the best in its class.
Why We Liked It: Overall, we only see speakers with high-end line components, and overall this is reflected in their price. JBL has managed to make an affordable pair under $ 100, which has its Plus One bass boost technology on board and offers some of the best audio comparisons compared to others in its 2-way class.
