Over the years I’ve realized professional hair-dryers are like sports cars: crafted with high-velocity engines and top-of-the-line parts and performance-driven design and features. But you have to do your homework and be willing to spend the money. A few years ago I was getting a blowout in New York's Chinatown, and my thick, frizzy hair had never looked flatter or silkier. It's because the stylist used the Twin Turbo 3800, a dryer so powerful she told me it's not meant for home use. I promptly ignored that advice and ordered it on Amazon, and I just deal with the fact that I have to turn off all the lights in my house when I dry my hair because this will blow fuses. Still, it's worth it in terms of drying time.
